London Top #1. Every great city has its top points. A famous river, an immortal legend, a peculiar architecture… Eternal Rome, Paris City of Love, I Love NY… How about London?

Of course, London has a famous river, The Thames. On its banks, iconic buildings have been constructed through London long history. One of the oldest one is the Tower of London, impossible to forget Anne Boleyn… tragic times of deep lovers.

City of culture, I love particularly the new Tate Modern and its different vision. City for shopping and luxury, for glamour and new tendencies, old city where ghosts still inhabit its houses.

The Top#1 could be London theatre. Yes, it could.

However, in my opinion, the best point is on people. Cosmopolitan, helpful, creative, active, eccentric, ironic, polite… They create a different atmosphere, where old traditions mix with futuristic visions and innovative realizations. Always good experiences in London!

Have you ever been in London? How about your experience? Tell me.

Here, other interesting opinions:

The man who can dominate a London dinner-table can dominate the world. Oscar Wilde.

I’m leaving because the weather is too good. I hate London when it’s not raining. Groucho Marx.

This melancholy London – I sometimes imagine that the souls of the lost are compelled to walk through its streets perpetually. One feels them passing like a whiff of air. William Butler Yeats.

When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford. Samuel Johnson.

London is a modern Babylon. Benjamin Disraeli.

Three hundred years ago a prisoner condemned to the Tower of London carved on the wall of his cell this sentiment to keep up his spirits during his long imprisonment: ‘It is not adversity that kills, but the impatience with which we bear adversity. James Keller.

  • Fantastic city. London rocks!

  • London is great although it was some years since I was there – nice friendly people at a lot of fantastic culture – the last years I have mainly been to Italy another fantastis country. Just saw a program by some guy O´Neill (I think) about the history of Brittain from the “start” and now with the Roman insluences to build the city of London.
