Movie Review. The Wolf of Wall Street by Martin Scorsese. Top Points. One of the best movies of 2014. Enjoy it!
The plot of the film is very well chosen. It’s based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, a stockbroker of the 80’s. Great topic for 2014, a time of economic crisis, when we are criticizing Wall Street and its controversial rules. Because we ask for the time when all the trouble started and the motives. For sure, it was in the 80’s and the movie explains very well the atmosphere of those materialistic years.
Leonardo DiCaprio plays fantastic as Jordan Belfort but also, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie and the rest of the cast. I really like the little role of Matthew McConaughey as Mark Hanna.
The Wolf of Wall Street is a comedy and the first half of the film is really hilarious. Afterwards, we can understand the consequences of excessive ambition.
Martin Scorsese manages the rate of Goodfellas, maybe his best movie (and we are talking about one of the best filmmakers of the last 30 years.)
The Swiss Banking, fun in Vegas, the world of prostitution and drugs… They are other secondary topics of great interest.
Definitely, one of the best films of the year.
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you!
