EM Lyon partner with world’s biggest sports brands to develop specialised MSc
Some of the world’s largest sports brands have partnered with EM Lyon to develop a pre-experience masters programme for the sports and outdoor leisure industry.
Companies such as Adidas and The North Face have teamed up with the French business school to develop the MSc in Sports and Outdoor Industry Management. Students will attend workshops, company visits and business projects both in France and China, as well as having the opportunity to undertake a four month internship anywhere in the world.
Over the course of 16 months, the programme takes place in three different locations; France (both in Lyon and the Alps), China (Shanghai) and the internship, which can take place anywhere in the world.
The programme will cover areas such as:
– Global issues of management in a multicultural environment
– History and Analysis of the sports and outdoor industry
– Retailing in the sports and outdoor industry
– Marketing in the sports and outdoor industry
– Business and management in the sports and outdoor industry
– Business and the sports and outdoor industry in Asia
Programme Director Pascal Aymar says: “I have worked in the sports and outdoor industry for much of my career. The industry is booming all over the world and is desperate for young, ambitious and talented individuals with specific knowledge to take it forward into the future. For years the industry has struggled to recruit young talent with the right understanding – now this programme can help to identify and develop that talent. This is a great opportunity for students from all over the world to gain an insight into, and ultimately a career in, the outdoor sports market.”
