Justin Bieber had a difficult childhood. However, his example is encouraging for us. In spite of economical and familiar problems, he is one of the most successful singers around the world.
A good bio to read this Christmas. Art is everywhere and everything is possible!
Justin Bieber was born on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario. His mother, Patricia “Pattie” Mallette was only 17 years old when she became pregnant and everybody around her tried to push her toward abortion (you can read Mallette memoirs: Nowhere but Up.)
Without money, “Pattie” worked a series of low-paying jobs and with great efforts, she brought forth her son. Justin Bieber attended the Jeanne Sauvé Catholic School, a French-language elementary school in Stratford, Canada.
Justin was a smart boy from the beginning. In fact, he taught himself to play the piano, guitar and trumpet among other instruments.
When Justin Bieber was 12, he sang Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” for a local competition and was placed second. His happy mother posted a video of the event on YouTube and from this moment, it started Bieber good luck. His popularity on YouTube grew while his mother continued to upload videos.
Thanks to these videos, American talent manager Scooter Braun discovered Bieber in 2008. Then, he arranged for him to meet with entertainer Usher Raymond in Atlanta. Afterwards, Justin was signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG) and soon, to an Island Recordsrecording contract offered by record executive L.A. Reid. The rest is now legend.
“I grew up below the poverty line; I didn’t have as much as other people did. I think it made me stronger as a person, it built my character. Now I have a 4.0 grade point average and I want to go to college, and just become a better person.”
Justin Bieber has maintained contact with his father. He is a good boy!
