Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong Set To Be Bigger and Better in 2014. World’s Most Popular Art Fair inspires all to love and live with art.

Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong

After its record breaking inaugural Fair last year, Affordable Art Fair opens again this coming March from the 21st to 23rd at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 2014 Fair will be even more expansive with over 100 exhibiting galleries showcasing more than 1,000 artists from all over the world.

Armed with its promise to demystify the world of art, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2014 will feature a strong array of interactive activities that encourage participation and continue to break down barriers; from the Children’s Art Studio, Art Talks, for both the savvy and the newbie, to hundreds of artworks featured across all sizes and price points. Visitors will experience art the way it is meant to be – fun, inclusive, and accessible for all.

Every piece displayed at the Fair is for sale, with work priced between HK$1,000 and HK$100,000. For those of you aspiring to start a collection don’t miss the “under HK$10,000” feature.

Will Ramsay, founder of Affordable Art Fair comments, “Our first Fair in Hong Kong was a great success both for galleries and their artists with over 16,500 visitors enjoying the fun atmosphere and over HK$26 million in art sales. This year we want to continue to break down any intimidation surrounding art and change the way people view and buy art. With more galleries involved and an expanded range of affordable pieces, we hope everyone will leave with something they can enjoy, no matter how challenged for space they perceive their households to be! Everyone and anyone can live with art.”

Beginning with the 2013 edition this past March, the Affordable Art Fair has been proudly supported by DBS Bank as the lead sponsor in Asia. With growing interest in arts and culture among DBS’s clients, this partnership is a reflection of DBS Bank’s commitment to being a leading wealth manager in Asia and to seeking unique sponsorship platforms that aim to engage, enrich and educate.

16 Affordable Art Fairs take place around the world every year; since its inception it has connected over 1.2 million people and generated over US$300 million worth of art. Just last month here in Asia the Singapore Fair saw 17,800 visitors over 4.5 days and SG$4.9 million in sales, demonstrating that the market for art is growing year on year.

“The fair’s fun, relaxed and open nature was incredibly well-received in Hong Kong last year. We are excited to announce our second Fair opening March 21st, 2014 and look forward to even stronger results in Hong Kong as a leading contemporary art market in Asia,” commented Camilla Hewitson, Director of Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong & Singapore.

With art, activities and entertainment for everyone, it is a perfect day out for art enthusiasts, aspiring collectors, families and first-time buyers to discover, fall in love, and start living with art.

  • Hi, Can a individual enter the art show or dose he or she have to be represented by a gallery, what are the costs involved other than the shipping costs.
    Kind regards Brian
