Modern Art Oxford celebrates 50 years of design history

Founded in 1965, Modern Art Oxford is a visual art gallery devoted to presenting exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. We have a national and international reputation for the quality of our exhibitions and accompanying community and education programme. Funded primarily by Arts Council England, with support from Oxford City Council, all of our exhibitions and many of our events, activities and workshops are free for visitors.

From landmark solo presentations to pioneering group exhibitions, visiting Modern Art Oxford will keep you up to date with the most exciting developments in international art. You can also relax in our café, purchase unique gifts in the shop, and participate in our vibrant events programme which includes talks, discussions, contemporary music and film nights.

Membership is great value at just £30 and offers exclusive access to bespoke events and other benefits, while providing vital support for the gallery and the artists with whom we work.
