New York urban fashion. Banksy and other street artist inspired Mint Socks. Admire its funny new line. From New York to the world!
Enter Mint Socks, street art inspired sock designs for men. Co-founder, Tina Israni talks about her inspiration for the line “Mint was created from a fusion of the old and the new. The old being our South Asian heritage rich with patterns and vibrant with color. The new being this distressed digitized urban era that we’re living in.”
With the growing popularity of Street Artists like Banksy, Shepard Fairey and OX, Tina points out that “it was only a matter of time before Street Art showed up in Fashion, particularly men’s fashion. Even Gap’s latest campaign, ‘Back to Blue’ they are partnering with street artist like Zio Ziegler and Andrew McAttee.”
Mint Socks will start out by partnering with local street artists in their native New York City for their spring line with aspirations to work with artists all over the country. “From Bushwick in NYC to Clarion Alley in San Francisco, we see Mint becoming a partner with street artists across the country.”
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you!
