The fastest growing area of technology will have its own dedicated event in March 2014, as The Wearable Technology Show launches in London.
It is estimated that the market for wearable technology will be worth some £15 billion by 2020, with household names like Google, Samsung and Apple being joined by a whole raft of other innovative start ups.
The Wearable Technology Show will have three dedicated conference rooms, boasting over 70 sessions on fashion, sports and fitness, health, M2M, live product demos, a developer hackfest and a business start up track. The conference track has already attracted a stellar line up of speakers from the industry, including Google, with more top names being announced weekly.
In addition, an exhibition will provide companies with an opportunity to demonstrate their wares to eager attendees.
Lisa Doerr, Event Director for The Wearable Technology Show says, “We are really excited to be launching the first show in the UK for wearable technology. We’ve already had considerable interest in the event, with pre registrations for delegate passes already at 26% take up before our website goes live!”
She adds “ We will also be hosting The Wearables – the first dedicated awards for wearable technology in the UK – at the event, which will be a great opportunity for companies large and small to gain recognition from their peers.”
The Wearable Technology Show will be held on the 18th & 19th March 2014, at the Olympia Conference Centre in London. Full details of the event including the conference programme can be found at The Wearable Technology Show
