The Beatles & Haruki Murakami together. Top literary event… Japanese newspaper Asahi has just announced that next Saturday (November 9, 2013) the author Haruki Murakami (Kyoto, 1949) will publish a new short story titled ‘Drive My Car’, as The Beatles famous song.
Remember that in 1987, Murakami published ‘Norwegian Wood’ a best-seller inspired on Beatles too.
The new Murakami short story can be read in the December issue of the monthly magazine Bungeishunju , where the author of “Kafka on the shore ‘ publish usually. The complete title of the story is: ‘Drive my car. Men Without Women” (“Onna no Inai Otokotachi” in Japanese).
