Melon, the custom eyewear brand today announces the launch of its winter snow goggle range. The rapidly growing company is following in its tradition of making high quality customisable eyewear with the new“Chief” goggle range, which offers snowboarders and skiers the ability to design their own goggles from 200 different combinations through the Melon web site.
The Melon “Chief” goggles are made to the highest specification and functional design following extensive testing of different concepts in New Zealand over the previous snow season. The result is a goggle that features
• Dual Layer spherical lenses with UV400 protection, made from hardened polycarbonate with a superior mirrored finish and anti-scratch coating
• Vented super flexible thermo-polyurethane frame that moulds to the face with triple density foam to keep the wind and snow out, as well as making lens changes a breeze.
• Melon Switchfast strap system to give interchangeable straps in seconds.
• Helmet compatible

The new goggles will be available to order from 1st November, initially through an Indiegogo crowd funding platform (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/melon-goggles/x/4848150), where a number of exciting offers are available exclusively to early customers. James added ‘We wanted to reach a wide audience quickly and felt the Indiegogo platform was the best way to launch the new goggles. An immediate success as 40% of the funding target was raised in the first 30 minutes of the campaign.’
James further said ‘Since the launch of the Melon brand in June we have been working flat out. We are stoked that the concept we have developed hits the right chord with a lot of people and thank all those who have supported us for our success to date.
