Vivan Sundaram (born 1943) is an Indian contemporary artist. Educated at The Doon School, the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda and at Slade School of London, where he met the British-American painter R. B. Kitaj, who influenced his artwork.
Vivan Sundaram works in different media including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, performance and video art. His latest shows and videos refer to his influences: Dadaism, Surrealism, Fluxus and the works by Joseph Beuys. His work is always politically conscious and conceptual.
