A Lester High Quality accordion belonging to Charlie Chaplin. This instrument is made of black lacquered wood, bronze, and steel. The keys are capped in mother of pearl and the bellows are covered with a paisley fabric. The German-made accordion also has detailed filigree adornments and is still functional. Chaplin wrote most of the music for his films and likely used this instrument while composing.
A rare bamboo cane owned and used by Charlie Chaplin, he was known to break the tips of these as he leaned hard on them, this is one he used with a broken tip.
