Robert Zhao RenhuiThe Institute of Critical Zoologists Expedition #45_2012

Artists: Tori Benz (Perth), George Egerton-Warburton (Melbourne), Perdita Phillips (Perth) and Robert Zhao Renhui / The Institute of Critical Zoologists (Singapore). Curated by Jasmin Stephens (Sydney).

Works that cultivate the ‘natural’ in all its guises together with the outcomes of Perdita Phillips’ residency at The Cross Art Projects working with Sydney Harbour’s Little Penguins. Novel Ecologies presents a group of artists who contemplate a relationship with a more vital world. Whether looking for greater connection to the continuities of the earth or to the solace and joys of an unruly embodied life, they have consistently sought to cultivate the natural in all its guises. Free talk Sat 19th.
