REGIONAL ARTIST PROGRAM GRANT DEADLINE.
The deadline to submit for a Regional Artist Program Grant is October 15, 2013 at 5pm. These grants, up to $1200 for projects pivotal to an artist’s career, are available to any artist, 18+ who has resided in Avery, Buncombe, Madison, Mitchell, or Yancey Counties since July 2012. PRINTMAKING CLASS FOR KIDS AT BURNSVILLE TRAC.
Beginning Thursday, October 17 and continuing on October 24th, November 7 and November 14, Anna Vislocky Early and Cassie Floan will hold a series of four workshops in the “Art of Printmaking” for kids 6 to 12. In this series, participants will explore a range of printmaking processes including stamping, monoprints, and photo transfers. Students will create one-of-a-kind stationary, wrapping paper, flags and more. The class will run from 3:30 to 5pm above the Burnsville TRAC Gallery at 102 W. Main Street. $60 per child.
