Princess Charlene, the mermaid of Monaco. Summer 2013

Summer 2013. Charlene, Princess of Monaco, is the wife of Albert II, Prince of Monaco but, and no less important, a South African former Olympic swimmer.

Charlene was born in Zimbabwe but soon, her family moved to Transvaal, South Africa, where she started to swim. So well that she represented South Africa at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, with her team finishing fifth in the Women 4×100 m Medley.

Precisely, in 2006, Charlene met Prince Albert II at a swimming event in Monaco. Love at first sight? The truth is that she accompanied the prince on many of his official duties since then.

She retired from competitive swimming in 2007 and married the prince on 1 July 2011.

Now, they seem to be happy although she is still no pregnant. However, she misses swimming and this summer 2013, it has been frequent to see her alone swimming in the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, away from the luxury of the palace.

A great princess and sportswoman!

Have a nice day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere!

Princess Charlene best quotes:

I personally want to have children. I love children, and I simply can’t wait to have a family of my own.

Grace Kelly forged a link between Monaco and the movie world, and I would like to create a strong bond between Monaco and the fashion community.

Sport has given me drive and discipline. It also taught me to remain humble.

The people I mixed with in Monaco didn’t relate to my South African mentality or humor… Although I have met some wonderful people since I’ve been living in Monaco, I regard them all as acquaintances. I only have two people I consider friends here.

My foundation is based on helping children, and I hand-pick projects that are close to my heart and home.

Good title! The mermaid is still voiceless. Kissing a Prince for 6( or more?) years doesn’t seem to help to become fluent in French. One main part of her job. Can’t be due to lack of discipline… She seems Princess of Fashion shows rather than Princess of Monaco. Poor Grace.

…and what exactly was Grace princess of ?….Princess of Whoring and Princess of Alcohol…great posture though

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene meet at the Mare Nostrum Monte Carlo, June 15, 2001. Not 2006. They reconnected at a party on New Years Eve 2006 in SA. She attended the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy and making their first public appearance at the Opening Ceremony.

Their is a video on You Tube of Charlene talking with people in French. It was recorded 2 years ago.
