Nelson Mandela in Cape Town. A celebration by street artist Bambi

Street artist Bambi will show a set of limited edition artworks depicting dear South African president and worldwide freedom icon Nelson Mandela in Cape Town, South Africa. The exhibition to be held at 34FineArt Gallery coincides with the opening reception of Outside II, a Group Exhibition of Urban Contemporary art. Time 18h30 on 17 September 2013. If you have the chance, don’t miss this great event, Yareah friends.

The new works to be shown are taken from a Nelson Mandela portrait which appeared on Mandela street in commemoration of Mandela Day earlier this year: July 18, 2013.

Street artist Bambi is a figure of amazing intrigue, with some speculating that she is a best record selling international Pop star by day.

Nelson Mandela best quotes:

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.
