(TOPEKA, KS) – Experience a unique and authentic night of culture Aug. 2 at 6pm. The Ugandan Orphans Choir, will delight you with their African drumming, dancing and singing as they perform traditional Ugandan songs and dances in Marvin Auditorium. No tickets required.
The choir is made up of children ranging in age from 10 to 14. They play instruments you might not hear anywhere else, including the panpipe, xylophone and numerous large and small drums. These young performers may inspire the musician in your family, so bring the kids.
The Ugandan Orphans Choir is a ministery of Childcare Worldwide; the group tours internationally sharing its message of hope and spirituality. It’s currently on tour in the Midwest. Find out more about why they sing at http://www.childcareworldwide.org
