The world tallest skyscraper: the world highest building will have 208 floors and 838 meters high. It is the Sky City, and its construction has just started in the central Chinese city of Changsha.
Changsha is a city near the Yangtze River. Until now, Changsha was only famous to have been the place where Mao Zedong studied in his youth.
Architects want that the building operates as a city, with schools, centers for the elderly and even a hospital.
The Sky City exceeds 10 levels to the current highest building: the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Its construction will require an investment of 5.200 billion yuan, about $650 million.
The Sky City will be finished in just nine months, to open in May or June 2014.
China already has five of the ten highest skyscrapers in the world. However, is has never had the top highest of the planet: before the Burj Khalifa, it was the Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
