Madrid Pride, or MADO, is a series of street celebrations that take place around the Chueca neighborhood in downtown Madrid. Don’t forget there are about 500 businesses and many other friendly commerces aimed towards the LGTB community (bars, cafés, restaurants, night clubs, book stores, travel agencies, gyms, hotels, boutiques…) Madrid is now a model for other big cities around the world.
The Statewide Parade will be on Saturday, July 6. It will begin at Atocha at 6:00 P.M., making it’s way through Paseo del Prado and finishing at Puerta de Alcalá. Some of the most beautiful Madrid places.
MADO is a multiethnic and multicultural event open to everybody (girls, babies, teens, the elderly, neighbors and visitors), because Madrid wants to be an open Gateway to Diversity. This is the spirit in which “Pride, example of coexistence” was born. Always looking to spread wakefulness and involvement among people, businesses, institutions and organizers. The objective is to expand respect and peaceful coexistence.
Plaza de Callao will be the scene of today’s best music, with international DJs and guest appearances by pop and rock artists. Who will be the new Mr Gay Spain?
The biggest party is set to take place on the 6th in Puerta de Alcalá.
If you have the chance, don’t miss it!
