Landscape falls from darkest skies

its beauty lost to all with eyes

the shriveled form thats view is hidden

is not trusted among the living.

No rain, no light, no form of life

hell on earth is what is rife

the blind that see are not forgiven

the end of all that once was living.

Young ones grow without the view

or sight of life that was once new

the seas are empty the land is dead

and new life hangs by a thin thread.

Escape is sought to open eyes

what no one knows is great surprise

that slowly ending, their homes most gone

the fear they lived with for so long.

It’s coming true before closed eyes

the ones that see are not surprised

no action taken is on time

no hearing ears make out the whine.

Future is as past dictates

learning more can’t be to late

it makes no difference if you believe

the crisis looms, will be the fate.

Praying, crying, screaming madly

won’t change the outcome not greeted gladly

then life will end but leave some trace

and denounce the human race.

Then all can see what we have done

the foolishness of our short run

we saw! we watched! as we destroyed

our home, our life, our futures core.

Straight to loss of loving thing

that kept us dazed unable to bring

and since we bury heads in sand

living life left, forgot our plan.

Then there was quiet, the One spoke out

created new with just a shout

if we were there we would have seen

instead we chose to end our dream.
