Tyrion Lannister is one of the main characters in the celebrated books A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. The books were an incredible success and now, a TV series based on them is captivating audiences around the world.

Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones

Tyrion Lannister belongs to a noble family, full of terrible men and cynic woman. All of them are tall and blonde but Tyrion is a dwarf, a despised dwarf who has earned a place of honor in the Seven Kingdoms thanks to his intelligence. He has said:

“I have my mind…and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much.”

Even the king (in fact, his evil nephew) is afraid of him because some times:

“When he opened the door, the light from within threw his shadow clear across the yard, and for just a moment Tyrion Lannister stood tall as a king.” ByGeorge R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones.

In the TV series, Tyrion Lannister is also the master of humor and tells the best jokes. Today, read his best quotes:

“He says that it is good luck to rub the head of a dwarf – Haldon said after an exchange with the guard in his own tongue.” Tyrion forced himself to smile at the man. “Tell him that it is even better luck to suck on a dwarf’s cock.”

“Sorry. Dwarfs don’t have to be tactful. Generations of capering fools in motley have won me the right to dress badly and say any damn thing that comes into my head.”

“Let me give you some counsel, bastard,“ Lannister said. “Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.”

“All dwarfs are bastards in their father’s eyes.”

“All dwarfs may be bastards, yet not all bastards need be dwarfs.”
