Belfast, a Method at The Golden Thread Gallery. The Forum for Alternative Belfast Gallery 1 & 2. From May 2 to June 8, 2013. A great event in Belfast! If you have the chance, don’t miss it.
The Golden Thread Gallery is at 84-94 Great Patrick Street, Belfast BT12LU
The Golden Thread Gallery invites you to get a bird’s eye view of your city. Belfast, a method is an exhibition by The Forum for Alternative Belfast, a community interest company that campaigns for a more connected built environment for the city of Belfast, and its people.
This is the first 3 dimensional model to be built of the city. A team of five “mini builders” are working at accurately depicting the city’s buildings at a scale of 1.500, making Belfast City Hall become the same height as cup of tea.
The team have surveyed each and every building and created a large scale wooden model with the help of the FabLab, Queens University Belfast and the University of Ulster.

**Belfast is the capital of, and largest city in, Northern Ireland. Most of Belfast is in County Antrim, but parts of East and South Belfast are in County Down. It is on the flood plain of the River Lagan. A fantastic city to visit, enjoy and study: great architecture, traditions and activities.
