Questioning love and life by R A Lovelace

There are many questions

As life goes forward

I’ve questioned love

Had answers foiled

I don’t understand

Why answers need be

When living life

Be all we can be

Enjoy what’s given

What’s offered freely

And take experience

Questioning hardly

I write, I have to

May read it only

I write for me

Is sometimes lonely

I say I

Too often maybe

For writing often

Can Make me lazy

But I go on

With questions asked

Of all I see, and hear

And grasp

I do not wish

To cause confusion

I only ask

To see great union

Of questions given

And answers tendered

And joy of life

For mysteries lingered

If I go on

Will writing suffer

To ask, to learn

Makes all lose buffer

Clearly learning

And clearly wonder

Is question’s point

And answer’s thunder

Great things are questioned

Great things are answered

But small things wondered

Bring great things forward

So I will question

For great or small

And gain some answers

To them all

For if wonder

Should lose it’s charm

Then questions missing

May do great harm

I'm married with four grown kids and nine grand kids, I don't feel as old as I sound but I'll let you be the judge (my photo is below). I've been involved in major criminal investigations, had a problem with addiction, rescued people in need and welcomed new babies into the world. Now I've decided to reinvent myself and write,
