Happy Easter. Modern Art Oxford gives ideas for these days. Enjoy your holidays, Yareah magazine friends. You deserve some relax!
Happy Easter! Are you searching for ideas for the school holidays? Modern Art Oxford has a range of activities through Easter and beyond to entice children, parents and grandparents whether it be delving further into the sculpture process, examining the role of bronze in art, hunting for Easter eggs or indulging in our Tea of the Month in the cafe
Easter Holiday Fun
Who knows what the weather will be like over the next two weeks for the school holidays? So why not drop in and catch up with artist Sarah Truby for our family weekend workshops.
The great civilizations of the old world worked in bronze, and this continues today as one of the materials of choice for monumental statues. The Ceclia Treves talk on Thursday 4 April will delve deeper into Josephsohn’s bronze work in context of wider sculptural practice.
As always we have gigs and films presented in the gallery. Coming up before the end of the Hans Josephsohn exhibition we present the film The Golem and welcome back the popular Thomas Truax and his ‘Have Hornicator – Will Travel’ Tour.
Easter Egg Hunt
Come and join us in the cafe for an Easter egg hunt. Each day, until 31 March, we are hiding mini chocolate eggs throughout the cafe for children to find. Parents can enjoy a free cup of english breakfast tea when you purchase a slice of cake.
Location: Modern Art Oxford, 30 Pembroke Street. Oxford OX1 1BP All exhibitions at Modern Art Oxford are free.
Have a nice day! Art is everywhere!
