March 14, Famous Birthdays: Einstein, Michael Caine, Quincy Jones and Billy Cristal
Hello everyone. First of all, we would like to wish a very special Thursday. We are also sure it will be a special day for Michael Caine, Billy Cristal and Quincy Jones. Today are their birthdays. For you all, happy birthday.
We don’t want to forget that today, some years before, the German-born theoretical physicist Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Württemberg in the German Empire on 14 March 1879. Einstein developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics).
I would like to finish today’s anniversaries and birthdays with one quote of my favorite writer, James Joyce. It’s from his short story ‘The Dead’, the final story of his book Dubliners published in 1912. Happy Thursday to all.
It was falling, too, upon every part of the lonely churchyard on the hill where Michael Furey lay buried. It lay thickly drifted on the crooked crosses and headstones, on the spears of the little gate, on the barren thorns. His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.
