A recompilation of the best Overtures composed by Gioachino Rossini
Woof, woof, my dear friends. Today is Friday and Martin and Isabel have promised me to go out with them. I love to go out and I will give you something special because I’m happy. Today, we are going to listen to a recompilation of the best Rossini’s Overtures. It includes La Scala di Seta, Il Signor Bruschino, Tancredi, L’italiana in Algeri, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola, La Gazza Ladra, Semiramide and Guillaume Tell. My favorite one is La Gazza Ladra, but I also enjoy a lot Il Barbiere di Siviglia).
I love Rossini a cause of his cheerful music, of his sense of rhythm and, overall, because his operas are funny. If you want to smile with good music, don’t forget to include Rossini in your repertory. You won’t be disappointed.
Also, Rossini and I have something in common: we really love food!
Enjoy your Friday, my friends. Food and love for everybody! Woof, woof! Ops, I forgot it. The overtures are conducted by Carlo Maria Giulini. Enjoy!
