Saint Valentine’s Day My Present Love, a poem by Yolanda Beukes. Tomorrow is Saint Valentine’s Day, today enjoy this awesome poem.
I’m from South Africa in a small town called Mahikeng in the North West Province. I was born in Keimoes in the Northern Cape (South Africa). Born 12 April 1983, Yolanda Leatitia Sheldon and married Johnathon Beukes on 12 April 2008 on my birthday. He proposed to me 14 February 2007 on valentines day so this poem is for him. We have one son his name is Carlyle Jesse Beukes, 2 years old. I write English and Afrikaans poems, this is something most people don’t know about me. Whatever emotion I go through good or bad, love or sad I write.
My Dear Valentine,
might your mind be wondered back in time
where moonlight stars filled music sky
embracing me with sweet romance
that magic moment loving place.
Take back in time my present love
you held my hand, my mind, my heart
my being belonged to you at last
the day you bend your knee and asked.
My Valentine hold on to me
the future bright we both shall see
in good, in bad, in storms to come
not counting what has all been done.
My Valentine you are each day
My Johnathon Beukes in everyway.
