Wild Exotic Colors to Awake…, by the American artist Stephen Eidson, an artist who is trying to understand and be understood with viewers. Listen to him and afterwards, lighten the mood with his paintings.
Art, one of the last frontiers: New expressions, emotions, perspectives and ideas are always just over the horizon. Art must first challenge and satisfy the artist’s thrill of conquest, but to be complete it must also thrill those that view it. The lure of the unknown and unique connections captured by the mastery of medium, present the mind with fresh discoveries.
These works are the fruit of labor to bring together form (which is the struggle of life with gravity) with zoology of wild exotic color to awake and open the mind of both artist and viewer.
Stephen Eidson attended the University of Central Missouri and majored in fine arts. After leaving UCM he worked in a variety of occupations until 2001 when he opened the Wayside Art Gallery and Studio in the remote Ozark hills of Camden County, Missouri. He’s since won numerous state, regional and national awards in juried shows of visual art, photography and writing. In 2012 he was named to the board of directors of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society. Born on the north side of the Little Niangua River, he resides on the south side with his wife Trish.
