Woof, woof, my friends. Here we are again to enjoy good music. Martin told me that today is Mozart’s birthday and I had to write something about the Austrian genius. Well, I need to remember to Martin that if I do it, he will have to go to play in the park today with me for 2 hours at least.

‘Have we got a deal, Martin?’

‘Mmmm, today is the match between F.C. Barcelona and Osasuna. I don’t want to miss it, Jack.’

‘Then… you won’t have your article, Martin. You don’t know a word about classical music!’

‘Well… It’s okay, Jack. Two hours. Deal, Jack’

(Note: it’s funny and bizarre to dialogue with myself.)

Woof, Woof again, my friends! Mozart is THE COMPOSER. Since the day he was born, he lived for music and his life was a life dedicated to music. He composed his first opera when he was a child and he is now considered a child prodigy and every time we talk about a genius we need to talk about him. I’m not 100% sure about all the facts in his biography but well, we have his music and his music is something magnificent. I have chosen his Requiem because it’s one of his most remembered pieces. My favorite? I don’t know. Is the Requiem more interesting than Don Giovanni? I don’t know. I think that Mozart is the best opera composer but I also admire Puccini and I can enjoy Verdi or Massenet. When we are talking about Mozart we are talking about the man who didn’t create the classicism but the man who represents the classicism. Beethoven is great and everybody knows it, but Mozart has something that always fascinate us, a mix among life, music, legend and, probably lies but… that’s art!

Have a great day, dear Yareah friends. Enjoy Mozart’s Requiem. You are the best!

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September.
