The 15th of January the British Museum in London opened to the public
The British Museum it’s dedicated to human history and culture containing eight million works in its permanent collection actually. The museum first opened to the public on 15 January 1759 in Montagu House in Bloomsbury, on the site of the current museum building. It was largely based on the collections of the physician and scientist Sir Hans Sloane. Some objects in the collection, most notably the Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon, are the objects of intense controversy and of calls for restitution to their countries of origin.
Anyway, it’s always a pleasure to enjoy one of the best museums in the world. If you are in London, don’t lose it. It would be a terrible sin.
Have a nice day, dear Yareah friends!
