Love Poems by Jenean C Gilstrap on Yareah magazine

Yes, Go on! is the title of the next issue of Yareah magazine. We would like to start this year with positive feelings, with love and hope. Nothing better than the poetry of Jenean C Gilstrap, our most  passionate author, our dearest friend, our gypsy girl. Today, enjoy her love poems, enjoy her legendary sounds and beautiful verses and of course, be happy! Have a nice day, Yareah friends.

words unspoken

i cannot say aloud the words

that fill my heart

yet rip my soul apart

i cannot say aloud the words

that if i said

would leave us both dissolved instead

i cannot speak

in voices heard my love for you

yet in my silent screams i do

i cannot speak

of life within our stolen time

for we both know you are not mine

love unspoken

words unheard

i cannot live

a loveless life

so i go on in secret strife

i cannot live

in time stood still

yet all i have is life unfilled

cerulean blue caprice

thoughts of you

upon my skin

take me back

where it all begins

treadin’ dark waters

in the night

can’t wash you

outta my sight

cerulean blue caprice

keep floatin’

to the top

when will it

ever stop

but as the river flows

round the bend

love like ours

don’t never end

thoughts of you now

under my skin

leavin’ my heart

never to mend

love un-lived

you penetrate my dreams

permeate my silent screams

and glide into the ancient streams

where love holds always your invite

and darkness holds its secrets tight

but like the wind regrets take flight

what has happened to my sight

did vision die without the light

and leave me now to this sad plight

nothing is as it seems

nothing left to redeem

when will it ever end

when will it ever end

he whispers

Thanks again for publishing with us, Jenean. I hope you are well. Good morning!

      • eres bienvenido, señor – a bright sunny blue skies day here – very chilly [about 30 degrees F] but gorgeous – so i may just have to head out and about and ride down to the beach before long – and good day to you, as well – what will the 3 of you be doing today? hope it’s fabulous whatever it is!

  • another thrilling day to have my unspoken words heard here at YAREAH! thank you, one and all!

Jenean C Gilstrap

Since childhood, Ms. Gilstrap has had a love of words-of writing and other arts. An individualist, she chooses not to follow any pre-conceived pattern for the outlay of these words – rather, she allows them the freedom to forge their own path as they make their way from her heart to pen to paper. Her art work involves both photography and mixed media on large canvasses. She is a weekly featured poet in Yareah Magazine where her works have appeared for more than a year. Her piece The Granite God was the winning poem in Painted Bride Quarterly Sidebar #12 [2012]. Her work has been featured in performance poetry theatrical productions in Louisiana and her short story, Retribution, published in the Helicon Literary Magazine there. She and her gypsywomanworld blog are included as character/story elements in Ghost Key, the fictional work of award-winning author Trish MacGregor. Her first volume of poetry [2013], words unspoken, is available in both paperback and on kindle at amazon. She currently divides her time between her home in Louisiana and the east coast as she completes her second volume of poetry to be published in 2013.

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September. Packages for the England v Ireland Royal London One-Day International on 7th May 2017 are also expected to sell out in record time. Details of all hospitality options at Lord’s can be found on its website
