Three fresh new poems by Leah Lubin: Get Crazy, Let It All Out (Yes, we need to forget the awful 2012!), To All You Rock Aficionados and When It Comes Down To It, You’re Absolutely Raving Bonkers (We love Lubin’s idea of  ‘you can’t make me change who I am’). Definitely, we are good people and we can make a great year 2013!

Get Crazy, Let It All Out by Leah Lubin

When in doubt,

get crazy,

let it all out.

Life continues,

and it’s harder,

more complicated

than they first tell us.

I don’t care where

you went to school.

I bet you weren’t

expecting this.

Be free.

Strike down doubt.

Let your self be known

as who you are.

To All You Rock Aficionados by Leah Lubin

My respect goes out to

all you rock aficionados

who love Aerosmith,

The Ramones, The Clash,

The Beatles, The Stones,

The Dead, and of course,

the great Elvis.

We love you all and more.

On and on we go.

Daylight, night time, and

in between.

Your rock lives inside us

When It Comes Down To It, You’re Absolutely Raving Bonkers by Leah Lubin

When told to leave, I said

“You can send me away,

but you can’t make me

change who I am, and when

it comes down to it, you’re

absolutely raving bonkers”.

Then all is quiet,

and life goes on.

You get a new life, and

wonder why he let you go.

Thanks Leah Lubin for these poems. Have a nice, nice day, Yareah readers!
