Every year in Colombia the Black and Whites’ Carnival is celebrated from 2 to 6 January
Let’s begin the day with happy news. From 2 to 6 January we can go to Colombia and celebrate with them the Black and White’s Carnival, the latest and most important celebration in southern Colombia. Because we love parties, we recommend this celebration. If you are white, black… whatever you are, wherever you are, let’s celebrate this carnival. It’s always a good way to start this 2013.
Blacks and Whites’ Carnival was established in 1920. In 30 September 2009, it was proclaimed by UNESCO, as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Stages of Blacks and Whites’ Carnival:
Pre-carnival (the day of the water). Basically, people of all ages go out to get wet. 28 December. Happiness, no murders… Great!
The Little Carnival: for children. Creativity, activities… everything funny.
The Castañeda Family Parade. Based on a legend of 1928. Dancing, drinking… nobody injured. Fantastic!
And we can finish with the Day of the Blacks and the Day of the Whites. Great! Everybody is happy. No problems, no existentialism and we can forget ‘fiscal abyss’ for a while.
