2012… A great year… a bad year? I don’t know but I would like to remember my best 12. Here they are my 12 highlights moments. They are not ordered, sorry.

My thrombosis

Yes, I know I was sick but well… I am still alive and I am happy for that. I am happy for life, for being living this. I don’t believe in God but… if there’s something there above… thanks!

My wife

Isabel is great. She is the only person who has support me with writing. She believed in me and, for that, I would like to say a great THANKS for her. Oh, Isabel, many thanks for the quarrels too!

To Yareah Magazine

Yareah is growing up and I know Yareah is just a magazine but it’s my job right now and, as a concept, I would like to thanks Yareah Magazine for the spirit, for art, for… everything. Thank you very much!

To the People who support Yareah

Thanks to everybody! The poets, the artists, the people in general. Without you, we are nothing! Special mention: thanks, Jenean for your support. Special thanks to James, Joseph, Charles, Jean, Michael,Alex, Paul… so many people to remember but you know you are in my heart. Many thanks!

To Jack

Jack, my dear dog. You are always there. Sometimes you are such a pain in the neck but… I love you! You are the best! Without you, my life would be so boring. Thanks, Jack.

To Jack Daniel’s

I know we have never meet but… your whiskey is so excellent! I simply love it! Best partner, best drink. I adore your essence

To the doctors who saved my life

-except the vascular one, you were not so friendly, hehe-. Thanks. I can be still drinking, writing and fighting one more year –I expect-.

To Google.

Hey, we are on google news! Thank you very much, guys!

I said 12… well, I don’t have time for more, sorry. Have a fantastic day you all. You deserve it! Many thanks for visiting us and many thanks. You are great!

  • what a lovely tribute to those nearest and dearest to your heart, martin – and for having been included in even a small way, i myself am more than grateful this year – we all have things for which we are – or should be – grateful, even in the darkest of times – and especially in those darkest of dark times, it is crucial to remember those people and things which carry us through – to remember their light and their love – for without that, the darkness would surely swallow us…here’s to love and light and more in 2013! best wishes to you and isabel – and jack and yareah – with much much affection and many many thanks…

  • Thanks to you Martin Cid

Lord's Pavilion

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September. Packages for the England v Ireland Royal London One-Day International on 7th May 2017 are also expected to sell out in record time. Details of all hospitality options at Lord’s can be found on its website
