From the beginning, the objective of Yareah magazine has been to promote artists and authors all around the world. Then we are delighted earing about other similar projects. ‘Art is everywhere’ is our motto. Then, extensive projects, which create a dialogue from every corner and every heart of our artistic Earth, deserve always our applause.

Some weeks ago, we published about TWITTER ART EXHIBIT: LOS ANGELES, 2013

The idea was simple. An international exhibition of original postcard art benefiting Art Division, a nonprofit program supporting underserved young adults in L.A.’s Rampart District (ages 18 – 25) in preparation for careers in the visual arts.

Every artist with a Twitter account could send a handmade postcard to help the show and all of the postcards would be part of the show. SUBMISSION DEADLINE is still open: until Friday, January 4th, 2013

However, we are happy of seeing the first results. Because from Saturday, January 12, 2013 (7-10pm) to February, 10, 2013, a different show ‘Twitter Art Exhibit: Los Angeles’ will be open at Exhale Unlimited (E.U.) Gallery, 953 Chung King Road, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Congratulations!

Curators: Nat George and Virginia Arce.

Twitter Art Exhibit: Los Angeles is the third installment of an open international exhibition of handmade postcard art donated by hundreds of artists from around the globe.

The idea: artists from around the world receive a call through Twitter social media to create postcard-sized art, which they mail to a local curator, who then exhibits and sells the art to benefit a chosen charity. Artists must have a Twitter account and interact with exhibition organizers to help seed the event.

Hundreds of local and International artists are expected to participate. E.U. Gallery owner, Anson Yew, MD, has graciously provided exhibition space.

Postcard art entries will be displayed and sold on opening night and through February 10th, 2013, at $35 a piece. All proceeds will benefit Art Division. This event is FREE to attend and open to the public.
