The Hobbit: Ten reasons to go to the cinema again
The Hobbit by Peter Jackson. Three movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s famous novel: An Unexpected Journey, The Desolation of Smaug and There and Back Again. They will be released in 2012, 2013 and 2014, respectively.
The Hobbit! Yes, the novel of our childhood is going to be now a series of three epic fantasy movies that we can enjoy in a cinema. In a cinema? Peter Jackson, director, co-writer and producer, he is afraid of people watching the movies on an i-Pad. ‘I do not want children seeing The Hobbit on an i-Pad. I’ll give them reasons to make that trip to the movie theater.’ He is saying during his last interviews. And of course, he has given reasons.
-He has filmed the first installment of his trilogy (An Unexpected Journey) to 48 frames per second, twice the usual. Then, it’s important to appreciate this ‘revolution’ on a big screen.
-Increasing the frame rate is revolutionizing the reality, a different reality which needs a suitable place to be esteemed.
-The dedication of the team deserves the best.
-He has employed technology to make “more spectacular” the film experience.
Super, Peter! Yareah magazine supports your objective. Movie theaters should be recovered from the past.
**Peter Jackson was born in1961 in New Zealand. Soon, he won international attention with his horror comedies. We still remember Bad Taste (1987). Afterwards, other kind of movies as Heavenly Creatures(1994). A multifaceted man: film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter, who started to be well known for his successful The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001 to 2003), based on the novel by J. R. R.
