Carmina Burana is based on various manuscripts from the 11th, 12th and the 13th centuries
Carmina Burana is a good, strong and poetic way to begin the day. 24 poems in Carmina Burna were set to music by Carl Orff in 1936 and the popular ‘0 Fortuna’ from the beginning and the end were used many times in cinema.
If you want to know more about the manuscripts, you can always visit the site on which I have no desire to call to mind –I have to look for the phrase, sorry-: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmina_Burana
This version is from the UC Davis Synphony Orchesta, the University Chorus and Alumni Chorus and the Pacific Boychoir and it was performed at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis in 2007 -I think-.
We really hope you enjoy Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.
Have a great day and boof boof for all!
