Top 10 Operas
I love the morning because I can listen good music with Jack. Today, we would like to give a present for you –yes, ‘we’ means Jack and I, one bark means ‘like’, two ‘dislike’.
Let’s begin, Jack… Jack… where are you? Bah, I think I will order myself the top 10 operas in the History of Music.
10.- Richard Wagner – Der Ring des Nibelungen
If you can listen all the opera in one session, you would be my hero. Try it! If you cannot, enjoy the act three and don’t try to imagine Robert Duvall in a Vietnam beach. I swear It would be difficult.
9.- Bizet – Carmen
Great opera and in French. We have published the Habanera with Maria Callas yet. Enjoy now with its great Prelude.
8.- Puccini – Turandot
The argument it’s a little… idiot? Well, it’s just a tale but Puccini’s opera is awesome. Let’s listen again Nessun Dorma Aria, this time in 1980, NYC.
7.- Verdi – Nabucco
My favorite chorus. Absolutely fantastic!
6.- Bellini – Norma
Enjoy again M.C. (Maria Callas). Have you notice that we have same initials? I will try to sing Norma later.
5.- Donizzeti – Lucia de Lammermoor
Have you notice I love Maria Callas? Here is one of her bests!
4.- Mozart- Magic Flute
Let’s enjoy the great Queen of the Night Aria. Impressive!
3.- Verdi – La Traviata
A classic of classics. Based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, fils. Here it’s the complete opera. We know, the track you want to listen is in the 9th minute 😉
2.- Mozart – Don Giovanni
This is maybe my favorite. The Commendatore Scene with S. Ramey and K. Moll
1.- Puccini – La Bohème
The great, the unique and the divine Maria Callas. Enjoy and have a great day!
