Igor Stravinsky Rite of Spring, the symphony that scandalized Paris
As you may know, these are hard times and in Yareah we are making strong efforts to adapt to these new times of efficiency, marketing and new ideas. Yes, in Yareah Magazine we believe in new economic theories and we are making changes to create a new statement, preparing our workers for new economic system.
Our first idea is to get Jack –my dog- some culture. No, it’s not an absurd and I am going to achieve it. Today, I’ve prepared for him a good menu and this begins with one of my favorite piece of music, The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky.
Yesterday I told you that he didn’t like very much Verdi but I think this a partial process. We need to work step by step and we will create the perfect worker: loving, cheap, charming and, over all, a worker who cannot press charges against us.
Enjoy Stravinsky, dear Jack. You will be soon writing criticism about transformational grammar.
P.S: I’m not mad still, sorry. I know Jack is a pretty dog but it’s just an excuse to listen good music. I really hope you appreciate it and I really hope you like it. Thanks for all!
P.S (2): Yes, the photo is very real. In 1940, Igor Stravinsky was arrested by the Boston Police for adding a new chord to an arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner, which was in violation of a Federal Law that says that you can mess with the harmonization of the National Anthem of the United States.
P.S (3)… At the end, here it is! The San Francisco Symphony conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas playing Igor Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring”!
