On October 5th, the fifth season of the innovative music series Live from the Artists Den will premiere nationally on public television with an episode featuring nine-time Grammy Award winner Norah Jones (check local listings). The New York Emmy-nominated show—about which the New York Times said, “on this show, the setting is a headliner, too”—connects music fans with a remarkable line-up of icons and emerging stars performing in unique and historic venues. The exciting new season features Norah Jones, The Wallflowers, Rufus Wainwright, and Mayer Hawthorne. Viewers can preview clips from the episodes on the Artists Den website at www.artistsden.com. The series is a production of Artists Den Entertainment presented by WLIW21 in association with WNET New York Public Media, and is distributed by American Public Television.

“People are always asking me what place I love to play the most,” said Jones at her taping of Live from the Artists Den at the Green Building in Brooklyn. “I always say it’s really not about the country as much as it is the venue. It’s so nice to play in a place that has a good vibe.”

The season will air nationally on public television in many of the country’s top markets, beginning this October. In the New York metro area, Live from the Artists Den will premiere Fridays at 10pm beginning October 5th on THIRTEEN and Saturdays at 10pm beginning October 6th on WLIW21. In the Greater Los Angeles area, the series will premiere Sundays at 8pm beginning October 28th on PBS OC; in Washington, D.C., Sundays at 11pm beginning October 7th on WHUT; in Dallas, Thursdays at 11pm beginning October 11th on KERA; in San Francisco, Tuesdays at 11pm beginning October 9th on KQED; in Philadelphia, Sundays at 10pm beginning October 7 on NJTV; and in Minneapolis, Saturday, October 6th at 10pm and Tuesdays at 11pm beginning October 9th on TPT. As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September. Packages for the England v Ireland Royal London One-Day International on 7th May 2017 are also expected to sell out in record time. Details of all hospitality options at Lord’s can be found on its website
