One YM friend wrote the other day that there are many differences between USA and Europe. We were discussing the other day about it and we cannot find any important difference between us but, of course, there’s no the same person a man who was born in France or a woman who was born in Texas… So many differences? In fact, I don’t think so but there are still little difference, above all in the laws. For example, talking about marriage, to get married in Spain is so, so difficult and you need more than one year to find everything. Because we were thinking about this (well, the truth, just me, L) I was looking for information and I found this interesting link from the official bureau:
In fact, getting married is much easier than here and not only for laws, I mean, here a marriage is a family fact that will integrate everyone into a collapsed space of war, resentments and old injuries. Our parents remember their own weeding and you can feel something wrong… and yes, your son or daughter… have to get married with another person. The war is served with silver knives.
Talking about women, I don’t know if in other countries you can see the same horrendous spectacle of metamorphose into ‘a thing that only things about a thing’. When my sister got married she and my mother went into a craziness way that transformed even their faces. Have you spent a whole year talking about just one thing? I did and it was the most ‘Kafkianist’ (I know I’m writing bad) experience in my whole life.
Well, I would like to say goodnight to all and especially if you are going to get married. I have been reading this document and I thought: I am going to get married with a woman to spend the rest of my life with her, not with my family.
In fact, there are still many differences into worlds, into USA and Spain and Spain and Europe and Greece and Rome and Japan. And this is, in fact, so wonderful.
Be happy and see you tomorrow.
