Yareah = Moon

I’m not sad saying goodbye to August. I don’t like the hot and I don’t like the beach. We had a good summer here in Madrid. Both, Isabel and me don’t drive and I don’t like when Jack –our dog- drives. Then, we spent the summer working a little on Yareah and drinking a little outside (??!!$%&/()=?).

If you are a regular YM reader, you have noticed that I stopped writing two weeks ago. Yes I did but I did it for a reason: our dear hosting company blocked the site without any notification and closed the site. And no, this company is not the cheapest hosting company in the United States: among the top five of the hosting companies, they say that they offer the best service but they are not precisely the cheapest. I wrote them and they told us that YM was overloading the server and they had to do it. Well, that’s life! They forced us to install a ridiculous system in the site and reduce the crawl in google. O.K. We had to do it to recuperate the data but we know these people aren’t good. We had to contract another service (this one, a dedicated server) to continue with YM… but I’m not a computer expert and I failed and… we have to move back the site for 24 hours more while we were fixing the error. You know what? They closed the site again without notice and we were near to close the site. I fixed the error precisely one hour before they closed the site and we could move to the dedicated server three days ago. They blocked our account and, when I can access the old site, they have erased all the files there. Of course, no money back and no apologies. It’s a hard world, my friends.

(If you want, you can ask me for the name of the company in private. I’m still thinking about telling the world about them.)

Yareah = future

Now I think the problem is solved and we are again ready to work. Today we’ve closed the month as better as possible: with a fantastic article by Joseph Mailander. We will have many news for the next year and you will be able to enjoy them very soon. Yareah Magazine began years ago –I cannot remember how many years, sorry, I’m getting older- and when we began we couldn’t imagine that one day we would be banned from a hosting company because of the visits and traffic. At least for me, it’s amazing.

The moral of the hosting company story is precisely this: we have been banned because we have many visits. And we are proud about this but we were more than proud for our collaborators and readers. You all are fantastic! In these years, YM have published dozens of writers, artists, journalists… and we have received all the support of the readers and the artists we were publishing. Yes, sometimes it’s hard but now we have walked many steps of our way and –we know- we cannot stop now. We will continue next year working to offer you arts and a different sight of this world, this fantastic world plenty of wonderful people like you, dear reader of Yareah.

Thanks for all, YM friends around the world.
