Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History offers this Summer different exhibition, events and celebrations. Yareah magazine likes especially this evening in a Cabaret of the Belle Epoque. We can dream we are with Toulouse-Lautrec or dancing in the Moulin Rouge. Fantastic times we can revive now.
Enjoy the party!
La Belle Époque Cabaret: An Evening in the Bohemian Style
July 27, 7:30–10 p.m.
$25; $20 Members
Includes one absinthe drink provided by Pernod Ricard
Join us for an evening evoking the environment of a bawdy Parisian cabaret fromLa Belle Époque. Members of the Pittsburgh Song Collaborative perform period French songs (accompanied by English subtitles or translated into English) originally sung by Yvette Guilbert, Aristide Bruant, and others. The emcee, played by Rob Frankenberry, is your guide through musical selections, comedic monologues, and satirical skits. Projected images of artwork help emphasize the role that café culture played for Impressionist artists.
