I have been shooting for the last 9 years. Every-day in life is a new achievement and exciting adventure for me. I have created many photographs all with a similar, yet different concept. “Saccharine Dolls” is my view on how most girls are at heart but how the world possesses them to be, “materialistically”. This has come from my own experiences through meeting aspiring models, the way I look at the media and helping young girls in my own life to be happy with themselves. The shoot is based in a bedroom, the Saccharine dolls are young, playful, naïve and don’t question how they should or shouldn’t be. “Having a sleep-over” staying up late up with friends, dreaming , secret telling on how life will be in the future is their only concern . Natural light was used to emphasize the purity and innocence of the dolls . Photos have been deliberately over-exposed to bring the concept together of innocence with a halo and angelic feel.
