Emma Alvarez http://www.emmaalvarez.com/ is an old friend of Yareah magazine. She was the main artist in the issue 5 http://www.yareah.com/magazine/index.php/issue-5-numero-5 and she said then:
All the artists hope that some day people will remember us for our artworks, that is with no doubts the best of ourselves. We try to make the viewer dream, and to communicate our dreams, whishes, fears, or our way to see the world. Maybe in some way we try to transform it all, changing everything the way we see it.
My works are deeply symbolic. It is not something obvious, because I like to think that the viewer will try to give it his own sense, almost becoming part of him.
The lights and shadows of every artwork are voices and silences, feelings hidden behind colors. And there’s always a reference to nature, to what’s mythical, to the fantastic. Because fantasy is part of ourselves, as that’s where our true essence resides.
