Before writing ‘Alice in Wonderland’, Lewis Carroll focused his artistic desires on photography. He achieved success and was well paid for the pictures that he took of wealthy people. However, his love of photographing girls was criticized. He was branded as immoral by certain sectors of Victorian society at the time and more than 2000 photos (with files) destroyed.
